Benjamin Devantier-Du Plessis is a Medical Doctor and Clinical Researcher serving as a Research Assistant at Wits Planetary Health Research and Trinity College Dublin. He completed his medical degree at the University of Sarajevo Faculty of Medicine and now works at the intersection of public health, climate science, and data-driven health systems.

At Wits PHR, Benjamin contributes to research within the HE²AT Center, a multidisciplinary initiative focused on understanding and mitigating climate-related health risks across Africa. His work integrates clinical insight with analytical research to support evidence-based strategies that strengthen health system resilience in a changing climate.
